Foundation trustees Lauretta Alexander, Suzanne Crawford, Dominique Racanelli, Leah Trineer, and I are pleased to announce the results of our fundraising efforts held last April 15. Aided by Evelyne Crawford Renzi, who gave out prizes during the auction on her 16th birthday, the event raised $13,189 through silent and Chinese auctions, a live auction led by the inimitable RoxaneStanners, and some generous donations. Special thanks are extended to Anelia Wright for soliciting many excellent prizes and to Dominique for her lovely floral centrepieces.
Donations from the proceeds were made to:
$6,000 charitable organizations ($1,500 each to Chez Doris, Auberge Shalom, Auberge Madeleine and the Native Women’s Shelter)
$2,500 Concordia Betsy Barber Endowment Fund
$4,000 bursaries for Concordia female students
